give yourself permission to heal

psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is an avenue for you to process and transform deeply rooted patterns that cause difficulty in your life. These patterns are established in childhood and early adulthood within the context of our relationships with others and continue to play out in relationships until we do the work to change them. I work from an attachment-based approach so that therapy becomes an opportunity to repair these patterns.
As a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, I specialize in helping clients heal from trauma, abusive relationship patterns, depression, anxiety, self-esteem and current relationship issues. I work collaboratively with my clients from the lens of healing in an embodied and practical way, so that changes are lasting. In addition to being trained as a depth and somatic psychotherapist, I am also a Brainspotting and EMDR practitioner. Both practices are research-based, psycho-sensory approaches to treating trauma and other psychological issues.
I no longer offer free consultations. If you are interested in working with me I have provided information about my practice on this site and offer a monthly info-session to address how I operate my practice, what type of services I offer, and how I approach clinical support. The info-session is available for you to ask questions and see if I am a fit for you. If you would like to work together from that point, the next step is a full intake session to review your history and treatment goals together. I invite new clients to work together on a monthly basis, you will be notified of the next info-session by joining my waitlist below.
orientation
“When the great swing has taken the individual into the world of symbolic mysteries, nothing comes of it, nothing can come of it, unless it has been associated with the earth, unless it has happened when that individual was in the body… And so individuation can only take place if you first return to the body, to your earth, only then does it become true.”

FAQs
Are you accepting clients?
Yes! I have various different coaching services available all year long. Room for individual sessions is limited, however I do my best to welcome new clients in order of my waitlist. Wait time for one-on-one sessions is anywhere between 2-6 months on average.
Why don’t you offer consultations?
Typically, a consultation is about 15 minutes intended to exchange information about my practice and see if what I offer is a match with a new potential client. The most appropriate place for me to hear from new clients about their experiences is during an intake session, as opposed to a brief call. Furthermore, in order to maintain my practice and continue to provide substantive care, I am unable to accommodate multiple consultations throughout the week.
What is an orientation?
As I continue to challenge the status quo structures within the mental health field, in search for effective, affordable, accessible and sustainable systems for both my clients and myself, I have found that offering a monthly orientation is a way for me to provide information about my practice and make myself available to answer questions. The orientation is a 30-minute group call held once per month.
Are you seeing clients in person?
No. Due to the ongoing global pandemic, all of my sessions are being held virtually and with success.
What does a somatic psychotherapy session look like?
During a session, we might just appear to be talking, however the nature of somatic psychotherapy is to pay more attention to the embodied experience. So, I will often find ways to bring your attention to that. Sometimes a session looks like mindfulness exercises, sometimes it looks like moving to a new space or standing up or laying down. Other times, it can look like incorporating touch or movement. It all depends on the client’s needs and the client’s interest in exploring different approaches.
Do you accept insurance?
No.
I can offer you a Super Bill which you can present to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. This process requires that I list a diagnosis. I can accept payment using an FSA/HSA card.
What are your rates?
My rate (50 minutes) is $250 and I offer sliding scale between $175-250 per session.
What age range do you work with?
I work with adults. On occasion I will see couples, however I tend to encourage couples to do my group process work to learn skills together in a community environment. I do not work with children. On occasion, I will accept a client who is 16 or 17 years old, depending on their clinical needs.
